What kind of books do you sell?

The ones with words in them. Seriously, though, we have a little of everything in our store. We specialize in children’s books and we have a large section of the store just for kids (and of course, the adults that make the purchasing decisions), but we have a giant selection of adult books. We do our best to have the most popular books in stock, and the stock is updated almost daily. We also ensure that the books we sell, although used, are in great condition. It’s kind of our thing.

Do you have an online store?

We do have some inventory strictly online that you can check out here. However, our bread and butter is what we have in our store. If you know exactly what you want, feel free to contact us to inquire about a book any time!

Where in Oldsmar Flea Market are you located?

Sam’s Books is in Antique Village, next to T&D Golf. You can see a map of the market and where we are here.

What’s your price range?

Cheaper than buying new, that’s for sure! But since we strive to sell quality used books, our prices reflect that. Our prices aren’t bargain basement, but who wants a bargain basement book? We promise you’ll get a great deal and pay a fraction of the price you’d pay buying new.

Do you offer discounts for teachers?

YES! We are happy to offer a 10% discount to all teachers and parents who homeschool. We know that you care enough to spend money out of your own pocket to ensure your classroom is stocked with good reading material, and we want to do whatever we can to help out.

There are so many books, it’s overwhelming. How am I supposed to find the one I want?

If you’re looking for something specific, feel free to ask! If you’re feeling brave, the store is divided into sections. Most sections have a sign, like “Classics” or “Cookbooks” – outside of genre, the books are shelved alphabetically by author. Or, take a chance and browse; you may find what you’re looking for and more!

You say you have a lot of books to choose from, but do you have the author I want?

That’s hard to say, since our stock is constantly changing. We do try to keep the newest bestsellers on the shelves, plus the always-in-demand stuff like Goosebumps, Wimpy Kid, Step Into Reading, Game of Thrones, James Patterson, Dr. Seuss…everyone has a different favorite so we try to have a little of every book that’s frequently requested. Just ask!

How do I know how much the book I want costs?

Prices are marked inside the book on the first page, in the upper right hand corner. If you don’t see a price, it’s still for sale…it just means it’s new stock that hasn’t been priced  yet.

Do you buy books?

Yes and no. We can only purchase books that we know we need in our stock. As much as we love books, we can’t have them all!
